As you know Stockport is now subject to 'tier 4' coronavirus restrictions. Communal worship services are permitted, but in view of the rising number of infections and concerns around the new strain of the virus being more easily transmitted, we have decided to suspend meeting for worship for the time being. The same decision has been taken by several other churches across the circuit and many others nationally.

I know this will be a great disappointment to many, so please be assured that we have not taken this decision lightly, but have done so in order to protect both worshippers and those who ensure that worship can happen. The decision will be reviewed regularly and any change will be announced here as soon as possible.

Because of the restrictions we have also had to close our Thrift Shop again, and the user groups listed on the Premises and activities page have also ceased to meet. We look forward to the day when the restrictions are eased and we can resume these activities once more.

In the meantime we can at least enjoy fellowship online. Information about online worship services is given on the Worship page and there is an invitation to join us for an online fellowship course on the Special events page.

I pray that you and your families will stay safe and well, and will be sustained by faith in God's constant love. There is a New Year meditation on our Prayers page that may help you. Please contact me if you have any questions about our church or these arrangements.

Wishing you blessings in Christ
